Sreshtha Shathie

ବିଜୟ ନାୟକଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲିଖିତ “ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ ଷାଠିଏ”ହେଉଛି ଏକ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷାର କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରଗଳ୍ପ ସଂଗ୍ରହ। ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକରେ ଲେଖକଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ତିନି ଦଶନ୍ଧି ଧରି ଲିଖିତ ଷାଠିଏଟି କାହାଣୀ ସଂକଳନ କରାଯାଇଛି, ଯାହା ପୂର୍ବରୁ “ଝଙ୍କାର,” “କଥା,” “ନବଲିପି,” ଏବଂ “କାଦମ୍ବିନୀ” ଭଳି ବିଭିନ୍ନ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ପତ୍ରିକାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକକୁ ବିଜୟ ନାୟକଙ୍କ ରଚନାର ଏକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସଂଗ୍ରହ ଭାବରେ ବିବେଚନା କରାଯାଏ, ଯାହା ଏକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସମୟ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ତାଙ୍କର କାହାଣୀ କହିବାକୁ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶିତ କରେ।
“Sreshtha Shathie” (translating to “The Best Sixty”) by Bijaya Nayak is an Odia language short story collection. The book compiles sixty stories written by the author over three decades, which were previously published in various leading Odia magazines like “Jhankar,” “Katha,” “Nabalipi,” and “Kadambini.” The book is considered a significant collection of Bijaya Nayak’s works, showcasing his storytelling over a substantial period.
