Patha O Pruthibi

ସୁରେନ୍ଦ୍ର ମହାନ୍ତିଙ୍କ “ପଥ ଓ ପୃଥିବୀ”ଯାହାର ଅର୍ଥ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କୃତି। ଏହା ଏକ ଆତ୍ମଜୀବନୀ ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ମହାନ୍ତି ତାଙ୍କ ଜୀବନ ଅଭିଜ୍ଞତା, ବିଶେଷକରି ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଯୁଗରେ ଭାରତ ଏବଂ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ରାଜନୈତିକ ଦୃଶ୍ୟପଟରେ ତାଙ୍କର ସମ୍ପୃକ୍ତି ଉପରେ ପ୍ରତିଫଳିତ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି।ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକଟି ତାଙ୍କର ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ଯାତ୍ରାର ଖୋଳତାଡ଼ କରେ ଏବଂ ରାଜନୀତି ଏବଂ ସମାଜରେ ସେ ଦେଖିଥିବା ଅବନତିଶୀଳ ମୂଲ୍ୟବୋଧ ଏବଂ ନୈତିକତା ବିଷୟରେ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପ୍ରଦାନ କରେ। ଜଣେ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଲେଖକ ଏବଂ ଜଣେ ରାଜନୈତିକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିତ୍ୱ ଯିଏ ତାଙ୍କ ନୀତି ଉପରେ ଆଧାରିତ ଦଳ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ କରିଥିଲେ, ଏହି କୃତିକୁ ତାଙ୍କର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କର ରାଜନୈତିକ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନର ମୂଳ କାରଣ ବ୍ୟାଖ୍ୟା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ବ୍ୟବହାର କରନ୍ତି। ସେ ସୂଚାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତି ଯେ ରାଜନୀତିରେ ସକ୍ରିୟ ଭାବରେ ସାମିଲ ଥିବା ବେଳେ, ସେ ଆବଶ୍ୟକୀୟ ଆପୋଷକୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭାବରେ ବୁଝି ନଥିଲେ, ଏବଂ ପ୍ରତିଫଳନ କରିବା ପରେ, ସେ ଅନୁଭବ କଲେ ଯେ ସମସାମୟିକ ଭାରତୀୟ ରାଜନୀତିରେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ସଚ୍ଚୋଟତା ଏବଂ ସୃଜନଶୀଳ ଅଖଣ୍ଡତା ବଜାୟ ରଖିବା କଷ୍ଟକର।”ପଥ ଓ ପୃଥିବୀ” ଏକ ମୂଲ୍ୟବାନ ଐତିହାସିକ ଏବଂ ରାଜନୈତିକ ଦଲିଲ୍ ଭାବରେ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ କରେ, ଯାହା ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ରାଜନୈତିକ ଇତିହାସର ପ୍ରମୁଖ ଘଟଣାବଳୀ ଏବଂ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନଗୁଡ଼ିକର ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରେ, ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ଓଡ଼ିଶାରେ ସବୁଠାରୁ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ବିରୋଧୀଙ୍କ ଉତ୍ଥାନ ଏବଂ ସୀମାପାର ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ, ଯେଉଁଥିରେ ସେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭୂମିକା ଗ୍ରହଣ କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହା ରାଜ୍ୟର ରାଜନୈତିକ ଇତିହାସ ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ କରୁଥିବା ସମାଲୋଚକ ଏବଂ ଗବେଷକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ଏକ ମାର୍ଗଦର୍ଶିକା ହେବା ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ରଖିଛି।ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକଟିର ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ଗୁଣ ଏବଂ ସମୟର ଏହାର ଅନ୍ତର୍ଦୃଷ୍ଟିପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଚିତ୍ରଣକୁ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତି ଦେଇ ୧୯୮୭ ମସିହାରେ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ଏକାଡେମୀ ପୁରସ୍କାରରେ ସମ୍ମାନିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା।
