Luhara Manisha (Upanyasa)

ଲୁହାର ମଣିଷ (ଉପନ୍ୟାସ), କିମ୍ବା “ଲୌହ ପୁରୁଷ,” ହେଉଛି କାଳିନ୍ଦୀ ଚରଣ ପାଣିଗ୍ରାହୀଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲିଖିତ ଏକ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଉପନ୍ୟାସ, ଯାହା ୧୯୪୭ ମସିହାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକଟି ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ କୃତି “ମାଟିର ମଣିଷ” ର ଏକ ସିକ୍ୱେଲ୍।
ଯେତେବେଳେ ମାଟିର ମଣିଷ ଏକ ପରିବାରର ଜମି ଏବଂ ସମ୍ପତ୍ତି ପାଇଁ ଦୁଇ ଭାଇଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସଂଘର୍ଷ ଉପରେ ଧ୍ୟାନ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରିତ କରନ୍ତି, ଲୁହାର ମଣିଷ ଜଣେ ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଚରିତ୍ର ବାରାଜୁଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କରନ୍ତି, ଯିଏ ଗାନ୍ଧୀବାଦୀ ମୂଲ୍ୟବୋଧ ପ୍ରତି ପ୍ରତିବଦ୍ଧ ଜଣେ ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ସଂଗ୍ରାମୀ ଭାବରେ ବିକଶିତ ହୋଇଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଉପନ୍ୟାସ ମାନବବାଦ, କରୁଣା ଏବଂ ସାମାଜିକ ଆଶା ବନାମ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ଇଚ୍ଛାର ଜଟିଳତା ବିଷୟଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରେ। ଏହା ଏକ କାହାଣୀ ଯାହା ଚରିତ୍ରମାନଙ୍କର ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନକୁ ଉଜ୍ଜ୍ୱଳ କରିଥାଏ, ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ମହତ୍ତ୍ୱାକାଂକ୍ଷା ଦ୍ୱାରା ଚାଳିତ ହେବା ଠାରୁ ମାନବତାର ସେବା ପାଇଁ ନିଜକୁ ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗ କରିବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ।
Luhara Manisha (Upanyasa), or “Iron Man,” is an Odia novel by Kalindi Charan Panigrahi, published in 1947. The book is a sequel to his more famous work, Matira Manisha (“Man of the Soil”).
While Matira Manisha focuses on the conflict between two brothers over a family’s land and property, Luhara Manisha follows one of the main characters, Baraju, who has evolved into a freedom fighter committed to Gandhian values. The novel explores themes of humanism, compassion, and the complexities of individual desires versus societal expectations. It’s a story that highlights the transformation of characters, from being driven by personal ambition to dedicating themselves to serving humanity.
