Khurudha Itihasa

ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଐତିହାସିକ କେଦାରନାଥ ମହାପାତ୍ରଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲିଖିତ “ଖୁରୁଧା ଇତିହାସ” (ଙଁରା ଇତିହାସ) ୧୯୬୯ ମସିହାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ଏକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଐତିହାସିକ ପୁସ୍ତକ। ଏହାର ଶୀର୍ଷକ “ଖୋର୍ଦାର ଇତିହାସ” ବୋଲି ଅନୁବାଦ କରାଯାଇଛି ଏବଂ ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକଟି ବିଶେଷ ଭାବରେ ୧୫୬୮ ରୁ ୧୮୧୭ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟାବ୍ଦ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସମୟକୁ କଭର କରେ। ଏହା ଭାରତର ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ଏକ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ, ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧାର ଇତିହାସର ଏକ ବିସ୍ତୃତ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା, ଯାହା ଏହି ସମୟରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱ ବହନ କରିଥିଲା, ବିଶେଷକରି ସ୍ୱାଧୀନ ଗଜପତି ସାମ୍ରାଜ୍ୟର ପତନ ପରେ ଗଜପତି ରାଜାମାନଙ୍କ ଆସନ ଭାବରେ। ଶ୍ରୀମହାପାତ୍ର, ତାଙ୍କର କଠିନ ଗବେଷଣା ଏବଂ ଶିଳାଲେଖ ଉତ୍ସଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଗଭୀର ଅଧ୍ୟୟନ ପାଇଁ ଜଣାଶୁଣା, ଏହି ଶତାବ୍ଦୀ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧାର ଐତିହାସିକ ଘଟଣା, ବଂଶବାଦ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ, ସାମାଜିକ ପରିସ୍ଥିତି ଏବଂ ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ଦିଗଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ସୂକ୍ଷ୍ମ ଭାବରେ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରନ୍ତି। ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକକୁ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଇତିହାସର ଏକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସମୟକୁ ବୁଝିବା ପାଇଁ ଏକ ମୂଲ୍ୟବାନ ସମ୍ବଳ ଭାବରେ ବିବେଚନା କରାଯାଏ।
“Khurudha Itihasa” (ଖୁରୁଧା ଇତିହାସ), written by renowned Odia historian Kedarnath Mahapatra, is a significant historical book published in 1969. The title translates to “History of Khurda” and the book specifically covers the period from 1568 to 1817 AD.It is a detailed account of the history of Khurda, a region in Odisha, India, that held significant importance during this period, particularly as the seat of the Gajapati Kings after the fall of the independent Gajapati Empire. Mahapatra, known for his diligent research and in-depth studies of inscriptional sources, meticulously explores the historical events, dynastic changes, social conditions, and cultural aspects of Khurda during these centuries.
