“ଜୀବନର ଚଳପଥେ”ହେଉଛି ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଲେଖକ, ଶିକ୍ଷାବିତ୍ ଏବଂ ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ସମାଲୋଚକ ପଠାଣି ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମଜୀବନୀ।ଏହି ଶୀର୍ଷକ, ଯାହା ପ୍ରାୟତଃ “ଜୀବନର ପଥ ଉପରେ” କିମ୍ବା “ଜୀବନର ଯାତ୍ରା” ଭାବରେ ଅନୁବାଦ କରାଯାଏ, ଏହାର ସ୍ୱଭାବକୁ ତାଙ୍କର ଅଭିଜ୍ଞତା ଏବଂ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଦୃଷ୍ଟିର ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଗତ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା ଭାବରେ ପ୍ରତିଫଳିତ କରେ। ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକଟି ଖୋର୍ଦ୍ଧା ଜିଲ୍ଲାର ଏକ ଗ୍ରାମରେ ତାଙ୍କର ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭିକ ଦିନଠାରୁ, ତାଙ୍କର ଶିକ୍ଷାଗତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ, ଶିକ୍ଷକ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରଧାନ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ଭାବରେ ତାଙ୍କର କ୍ୟାରିୟର ଏବଂ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟରେ ତାଙ୍କର ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅବଦାନକୁ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରେ।”ଜୀବନର ଚଳପଥେ” ବିଶେଷ ଭାବରେ ଉଲ୍ଲେଖନୀୟ କାରଣ ଏହା ପଠାଣି ପଟ୍ଟନାୟକଙ୍କୁ 2010 ମସିହାରେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ସାହିତ୍ୟ ଏକାଡେମୀ ପୁରସ୍କାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲା, ଯାହା ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟରେ ଏହାର ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ଗୁଣ ଏବଂ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱକୁ ସ୍ୱୀକୃତି ଦେଇଥିଲା। ଏହା ପାଠକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଜଣେ ପ୍ରମୁଖ ବୁଦ୍ଧିଜୀବୀଙ୍କ ଜୀବନ ଏବଂ ତାଙ୍କ ସମୟରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ଏବଂ ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ଦୃଶ୍ୟପଟର ଏକ ଝଲକ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରେ।
