“ଗଳ୍ପ ସ୍ୱଳ୍ପ ଖଣ୍ଡ-II” ହେଉଛି ଫକୀର ମୋହନ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲିଖିତ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରଗଳ୍ପ ସଂଗ୍ରହର ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଖଣ୍ଡ, ଯାହାକୁ ଆଧୁନିକ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଗଦ୍ୟ ସାହିତ୍ୟର ଜନକ ଭାବରେ ବିବେଚନା କରାଯାଏ। ୧୯୧୭ ମସିହାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ, ଏହାର ପ୍ରଥମ ଖଣ୍ଡ ସହିତ, “ଗଳ୍ପ ସ୍ୱଳ୍ପ” ରେ କୋଡ଼ିଏଟି କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରଗଳ୍ପ ରହିଛି ଯାହାକୁ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟର ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠ କୃତି ଭାବରେ ପ୍ରଶଂସା କରାଯାଇଛି। ଏହି କାହାଣୀଗୁଡ଼ିକ ପ୍ରାୟତଃ ୧୯ଶ ଶତାବ୍ଦୀର ଶେଷ ଏବଂ ୨୦ଶ ଶତାବ୍ଦୀର ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ସାମାଜିକ ଏବଂ ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ଜୀବନକୁ ପ୍ରତିଫଳିତ କରେ, ଯାହା ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷା ଏବଂ ପରିଚୟ ପାଇଁ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପରିବର୍ତ୍ତନ ଏବଂ ଚ୍ୟାଲେଞ୍ଜର ସମୟ ଥିଲା। ଫକୀର ମୋହନ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରଗଳ୍ପଗୁଡ଼ିକ ମାନବ ପ୍ରକୃତିର ତୀକ୍ଷ୍ଣ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟବେକ୍ଷଣ, ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ଜୀବନର ବାସ୍ତବବାଦୀ ଚିତ୍ରଣ ଏବଂ କଥନୀୟ ଭାଷାର ବ୍ୟବହାର ପାଇଁ ଜଣାଶୁଣା, ଯାହା ସେଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ସାଧାରଣ ପାଠକଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ସୁଗମ ଏବଂ ଆକର୍ଷଣୀୟ କରିଥାଏ। ଦ୍ୱିତୀୟ ଖଣ୍ଡର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦିଷ୍ଟ କାହାଣୀଗୁଡ଼ିକ ମଧ୍ୟରେ “ଅଜାନତି କଥା,” “ପଥୋଇ ବହୁ,” ଏବଂ “ବଗଲା-ବାଗୁଲି” ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ଥିଲେ ମଧ୍ୟ, ସମଗ୍ର ସଂଗ୍ରହ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କ ଅସାଧାରଣ କାହାଣୀ କହିବା କ୍ଷମତା ଏବଂ ସମ୍ପର୍କୀୟ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରଭାବଶାଳୀ କାହାଣୀ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷାକୁ ସଂରକ୍ଷଣ ଏବଂ ଅଗ୍ରଗତି ପାଇଁ ତାଙ୍କର ଉତ୍ସର୍ଗକୁ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନ କରେ।
“Galpa Swalpa Vol-II” is the second volume of a collection of short stories written by Fakir Mohan Senapati, widely considered the father of modern Odia prose literature.Published in 1917, along with its first volume, “Galpa Swalpa” comprises twenty short stories that are hailed as masterpieces of Odia literature.
