“ଗଳ୍ପ ସ୍ୱଳ୍ପ ଖଣ୍ଡ-୧” ହେଉଛି ଫକୀର ମୋହନ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ରଚିତ କୋଡ଼ିଏଟି ଓଡ଼ିଆ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ରଗଳ୍ପର ଏକ ସଂଗ୍ରହ, ଯାହାକୁ ଆଧୁନିକ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଗଦ୍ୟ ଏବଂ ସାହିତ୍ୟର ଜନକ ଭାବରେ ବିବେଚନା କରାଯାଏ। ୧୯୦୧ ମସିହାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକଟି ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କାରଣ ଏଥିରେ ତାଙ୍କର କିଛି ପ୍ରତୀକାତ୍ମକ କାହାଣୀ ରହିଛି, ଯେଉଁଥିରେ “ରେବତୀ” ମଧ୍ୟ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ, ଯାହାକୁ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଭାଷାରେ ପ୍ରଥମ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ଛୋଟଗଳ୍ପ ଭାବରେ ବିବେଚନା କରାଯାଏ। “ଗଳ୍ପ ସ୍ୱଳ୍ପ” ରେ ସେନାପତିଙ୍କ କାହାଣୀଗୁଡ଼ିକ ୧୯ଶ ଶତାବ୍ଦୀର ଶେଷ ଏବଂ ୨୦ଶ ଶତାବ୍ଦୀର ପ୍ରାରମ୍ଭରେ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ସାମାଜିକ-ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ପରିସ୍ଥିତିର ଏକ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଚିତ୍ରଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରେ। ସେମାନେ ପ୍ରାୟତଃ ସାମାଜିକ ଅନ୍ୟାୟ, ଶୋଷଣ, ସାଧାରଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ସଂଘର୍ଷ, ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ଏବଂ ଆଧୁନିକ ମୂଲ୍ୟବୋଧ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ସଂଘର୍ଷ ଏବଂ ବ୍ରିଟିଶ ଶାସନର ପ୍ରଭାବର ବିଷୟବସ୍ତୁ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରନ୍ତି। ତାଙ୍କ ଲେଖା ଗ୍ରାମୀଣ ଜୀବନର ବାସ୍ତବବାଦୀ ଚିତ୍ରଣ, ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଉପଭାଷାର ବ୍ୟବହାର ଏବଂ ମାନବ ପ୍ରକୃତିର ତୀକ୍ଷ୍ଣ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟବେକ୍ଷଣ ପାଇଁ ଜଣାଶୁଣା। ଏହି କାହାଣୀଗୁଡ଼ିକ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ଗୁଣ ଏବଂ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟର ପରିଚୟ ଗଠନରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଭୂମିକା ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରଶଂସିତ ହୁଏ।
“Galpa Swalpa Vol-1” is a collection of twenty Odia short stories by Fakir Mohan Senapati, who is widely regarded as the father of modern Odia prose and literature.
