ଦାଦି ବୁଢା (ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ) ହେଉଛି ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଲେଖକ ଗୋପୀନାଥ ମହାନ୍ତିଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲିଖିତ ଏକ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ଉପନ୍ୟାସ, ଯାହା ପ୍ରଥମ ଥର ପାଇଁ ୧୯୪୪ ମସିହାରେ ପ୍ରକାଶିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଏହି ଉପନ୍ୟାସ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର କୋରାପୁଟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳର ଆଦିବାସୀ ଜୀବନର ଏକ ବାସ୍ତବବାଦୀ ଏବଂ ମର୍ମସ୍ପର୍ଶୀ ଚିତ୍ରଣ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରେ। ଏହା ପରଜା ଏବଂ କୋନ୍ଧ ଜନଜାତିଙ୍କ ବିଶ୍ୱାସ, ପ୍ରଥା ଏବଂ ସଂଘର୍ଷକୁ ଖୋଳତାଡ଼ କରେ, ଆଧୁନିକତା ଏବଂ ଉପନିବେଶବାଦୀ ଅନୁପ୍ରବେଶ ସାମ୍ନାରେ ସେମାନେ ସମ୍ମୁଖୀନ ହେଉଥିବା ଚ୍ୟାଲେଞ୍ଜଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ଉଜାଗର କରେ।
ପୁସ୍ତକର ଶୀର୍ଷକ ଏକ ପବିତ୍ର ଖଜୁରୀ ଗଛ, “ଦାଦି ବୁଢା”କୁ ବୁଝାଏ, ଯାହାକୁ ଉପନ୍ୟାସର ଆଦିବାସୀ ସମ୍ପ୍ରଦାୟ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଅନନ୍ତ ପୂର୍ବପୁରୁଷ ଏବଂ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଦେବତା ବୋଲି ମାନିଥାଏ। ଏହି ଗଛ ପ୍ରକୃତି ଏବଂ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ଐତିହ୍ୟ ସହିତ ସେମାନଙ୍କର ଆଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ସଂଯୋଗକୁ ପ୍ରତୀକ କରେ। କାହାଣୀଟି ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରେ ଯେ ଖ୍ରୀଷ୍ଟିଆନ ଧର୍ମ ଏବଂ ଉପନିବେଶବାଦୀ ପ୍ରଶାସନ ସମେତ ଆଧୁନିକ ପ୍ରଭାବ ଗାଁରେ ପ୍ରବେଶ କରିବା ସହିତ ଏହି ପ୍ରାଚୀନ ଜୀବନଶୈଳୀ ଏବଂ ଏହାର ପରମ୍ପରା କିପରି ଭାଙ୍ଗିବାକୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ କରେ।
