Bajirout

“ବାଜିରୌତ” ହେଉଛି ପ୍ରଖ୍ୟାତ ଓଡ଼ିଆ କବି ସଚ୍ଚିଦାନନ୍ଦ ରାଉତରାୟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲିଖିତ ଏକ ମହାକାବ୍ୟ। ଏହା ବାଜିରୌତ ନାମକ ଜଣେ ଯୁବକର ମର୍ମସ୍ପର୍ଶୀ ଏବଂ ପ୍ରେରଣାଦାୟକ କାହାଣୀ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନା କରେ, ଯିଏ ଜଣେ ବାସ୍ତବ ଜୀବନର ଐତିହାସିକ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିତ୍ୱ, ଯିଏ ପ୍ରଜାମଣ୍ଡଳ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ ସମୟରେ ପ୍ରଜାମଣ୍ଡଳ ଆନ୍ଦୋଳନ ସମୟରେ ସାହସର ସହିତ ନିଜ ଜୀବନକୁ ବଳିଦାନ ଦେଇଥିଲେ। ଏହି କବିତାଟି ଔପନିବେଶିକ ଶାସନର ନିଷ୍ଠୁରତା ଏବଂ ସାଧାରଣ ଲୋକଙ୍କ ବୀରତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ପ୍ରତିରୋଧକୁ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ ଭାବରେ ଚିତ୍ରଣ କରିଥାଏ। ରାଉତରାୟ ତାଙ୍କ ଭୂମିର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ପାଇଁ ଯୁବ ପ୍ରତିରକ୍ଷା, ଦେଶପ୍ରେମ ଏବଂ ସର୍ବୋତ୍ତମ ବଳିଦାନର ପ୍ରତୀକ ଭାବରେ ବାଜିରୌତକୁ ଅମର କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଶକ୍ତିଶାଳୀ ଚିତ୍ରକଳା ଏବଂ ଉଦ୍ଦୀପକ ଭାଷା ବ୍ୟବହାର କରନ୍ତି। ଏହି କୃତିକୁ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟରେ ଏକ ଶ୍ରେଷ୍ଠକୃତି ଏବଂ ଭାରତର ସ୍ୱାଧୀନତା ସଂଗ୍ରାମ ବର୍ଣ୍ଣନାରେ ଏକ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅବଦାନ ଭାବରେ ବିବେଚନା କରାଯାଏ।
“Bajirout” is an epic poem written by eminent Odia poet Sachidananda Routray. It tells the poignant and inspiring story of a young boy named Bajirout, a real-life historical figure, who courageously sacrificed his life during the Prajamandal Movement against the oppressive rule of the British and the local princely states in Odisha.
