ମନୋଜ ଦାସଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲିଖିତ “ଅମୃତଫଳ”ଏକ ସମୀକ୍ଷକ ଭାବରେ ପ୍ରଶଂସିତ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଉପନ୍ୟାସ ଯାହା ଇତିହାସ, କିମ୍ବଦନ୍ତୀ, ରହସ୍ୟ, ଯାଦୁ ଏବଂ ବାସ୍ତବବାଦକୁ ନିପୁଣ ଭାବରେ ମିଶ୍ରଣ କରିଥାଏ। ଏହା ଦୁଇଟି ସମାନ୍ତରାଳ କାହାଣୀ ମାଧ୍ୟମରେ ଅସ୍ତିତ୍ୱଗତ ଦୁଃଖ ଏବଂ ଅନନ୍ତ ସତ୍ୟର ସନ୍ଧାନର ବିଷୟବସ୍ତୁ ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରେ। ଗୋଟିଏ କାହାଣୀ ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କାଳର ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ କରେ, ଉଜ୍ଜୟିନୀର ରାଜା ଭର୍ତ୍ତୃହରି ଏବଂ ଏକ ରହସ୍ୟମୟ, ଅମର ଫଳ – “ଅମୃତ ଫଳ” ପାଇବା ପରେ ତାଙ୍କ ଗଭୀର ଦ୍ୱନ୍ଦ୍ୱ ଉପରେ କେନ୍ଦ୍ରିତ। ଅନ୍ୟଟି, ମୁଖ୍ୟ କାହାଣୀ, ସମସାମୟିକ ଯୁଗରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ, ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଜଣେ ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସଫଳ ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀ ନିଜକୁ ସମାନ ଅସ୍ତିତ୍ୱଗତ ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଏବଂ ଚ୍ୟାଲେଞ୍ଜ ସହିତ ସଂଘର୍ଷ କରୁଥିବାର ଦେଖନ୍ତି। ଉପନ୍ୟାସଟି ଏହାର ଆକର୍ଷଣୀୟ କାହାଣୀ, ଏହି ଦୁଇଟି ଭିନ୍ନ କିନ୍ତୁ ତାର୍କିକ ଭାବରେ ସଂଯୁକ୍ତ କାହାଣୀର ଅବିଚ୍ଛେଦ୍ୟ ମିଶ୍ରଣ ଏବଂ ମନୋଜ ଦାସଙ୍କ ମାନବ ପ୍ରକୃତି ଏବଂ ଭାଗ୍ୟ ବିଷୟରେ ଗଭୀର ଦାର୍ଶନିକ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ପାଇଁ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ। ଏହା ତାଙ୍କୁ 2001 ମସିହାରେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ସରସ୍ୱତୀ ସମ୍ମାନ ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲା।
