Nirbana Abhisara

“ନିର୍ବାଣ ଅଭିସାର” ହେଉଛି ଇନ୍ଦିରା ଦାସଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଲିଖିତ ଏକ ଓଡ଼ିଆ ଉପନ୍ୟାସ, ଯିଏକି ଜଣେ ପ୍ରଖ୍ୟାତ ଲେଖିକା ଏବଂ ଅନେକ ଦଶନ୍ଧି ଧରି ଓଡ଼ିଆ ସାହିତ୍ୟରେ ଗୁରୁତ୍ୱପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଅବଦାନ ରଖିଛନ୍ତି। ଏହି ପୁସ୍ତକ, ଯାହା ତାଙ୍କୁ 2014 ପାଇଁ ଓଡ଼ିଶା ସାହିତ୍ୟ ଏକାଡେମୀ ପୁରସ୍କାର ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିଥିଲା, ଏହା ଏକ ଉପନ୍ୟାସ ଯାହା “ନିର୍ବାଣ” (ନିର୍ବାଣ) ଏବଂ ବୌଦ୍ଧ ଧର୍ମର ବିଷୟବସ୍ତୁ ଉପରେ ଖୋଳତାଡ଼ କରେ।ଏହି କାହାଣୀଟି ଲଳିତଗିରିର ବୌଦ୍ଧ ବିହାରର ପୃଷ୍ଠଭୂମି ବିରୁଦ୍ଧରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ, ଯାହାକୁ ଚୀନ୍ ଭିକ୍ଷୁ ଜୁଆନଜାଙ୍ଗଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କରାଯାଇଥିବା ପ୍ରାଚୀନ “ପୁଷ୍ପଗିରି” ବୋଲି ବିଶ୍ୱାସ କରାଯାଏ। ଏହି କାହାଣୀଟି ମୁଖ୍ୟ ଚରିତ୍ର ବ୍ରଜଶ୍ରବାଙ୍କୁ ଅନୁସରଣ କରେ, ଯିଏ ନିଜର ବିବାହିତ ଜୀବନ ତ୍ୟାଗ କରି ଜ୍ଞାନ ଅନ୍ୱେଷଣରେ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯାତ୍ରା କରି ଶେଷରେ ବିକ୍ରମଶାଳାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ, ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ସେ ବୌଦ୍ଧ ଧର୍ମ ବିଷୟରେ ଶିଖନ୍ତି। ଏହି ଉପନ୍ୟାସଟି ଏହି ଆଧ୍ୟାତ୍ମିକ ଏବଂ ଐତିହାସିକ ବିଷୟବସ୍ତୁଗୁଡ଼ିକର ଅନୁସନ୍ଧାନ ସହିତ ପାଠକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଆକର୍ଷିତ କରିବାର କ୍ଷମତା ପାଇଁ ଜଣାଶୁଣା।
“Nirbana Abhisara” is an Odia novel by Indira Dash, a prolific writer who has contributed significantly to Odia literature over several decades. The book, which won her the Odisha Sahitya Akademi Award for 2014, is a novel that delves into the themes of “Nirbana” (Nirvana) and Buddhism.The story is set against the backdrop of the Boudhha Bihara in Lalitgiri, a place believed to be the ancient “Puspagiri” mentioned by the Chinese monk Xuanzang. The narrative follows the main character, Brajashraba, who leaves his married life and travels to various places in search of knowledge before ultimately arriving at Vikramashala, where he learns about Buddhism. The novel is known for its ability to captivate readers with its exploration of these spiritual and historical themes.
